Two Axis Manual
Our manual 2-Axis Acu-Gage is a bridge-style CMM. The measuring platform is stationary and the optics move independently above the inspected part. Our modular design allows customers to upgrade their manual Acu-Gage to a fully automated machine over time, an opportunity to grow the capability of the Acu-Gage as business needs change.
Customer applications for the large format 2-Axis Acu-Gage are lithographic printing plates, label manufacturers, gaskets, metal stampings, and printed circuit boards. The Acu-Gage II manual model is an ideal measuring tool for first article layouts and random inspections.
Automated Acu-Gage Video Model
The automated Acu-Gage multi-axis model (either 2-Axis or 3-Axis) is the solution for customers who require high volume measurement throughput. Our programming software allows for data capture to Excel or our SPC software. Tier 1 automotive suppliers use Acu-Gage to generate PPAP data. Six Sigma operations rely on Acu-Gage for accurate process control information. Medical suppliers depend on Acu-Gage to meet rigid tolerance standards.
Customers also use the automated Acu-Gage for offline programming (very beneficial in the gasket, sheet metal, and printed circuit board industries) and reverse engineering. Special edge detection tools provide very fast “optical scanning” of profile shapes, for direct output to CAD. Fast accurate prototyping and short run production capability gives our customers the chance to be “fast to market” with new products, exploiting new opportunities such as aftermarket and replacement parts. ConoVision Multi-Sensor Acu-Gage
The Acu-Gage ConoVision model offers exacting precision, high point volume laser measurement for end users seeking accuracy for their 3-d measuring needs. Unlike other laser measuring devices that incorporate a lower resolution triangulation laser to their systems, Acu-Gage utilizes a patented thru-the-lens laser for high resolution 3-d laser scanning. The Optimet dynamic laser measurement sensor scans at a rate of 3,500 points per second, generating a point cloud much denser than that from any conventional touch probe CMM. More points yields a truer definition of the measured part.
Our customers include military operations, fuel cell manufacturers, semi-conductor providers, and high accuracy medical applications. ConoVisions reverse engineer cutting tools used in fabricating jet engine turbine blades, compare high volume 3-d point clouds to CAD files in molded plastic parts, and scan special paper weaves used in manufacturing passports and currency.
